Meet the Musicians

The conductor and accompanists who lead the Southern Utah Heritage Choir.

Director / Conductor

Ken Peterson

A professional singer, conductor, educator, and researcher. Dr. Peterson earned his Bachelor of Music from Utah State University, his Master of Music from Illinois State University, and his Doctor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. He served as director of vocal activities at Dixie State University, directing choirs, teaching voice courses, and serving as music director for the university musicals.

Accompanist

Jennifer Redfearn

A professional pianist, accompanist, and piano instructor for 25 years. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Piano Performance from Dixie State University, where she received awards for outstanding accompanist and pianist of the year. She now has a thriving studio of over 60 students and enjoys watching each of them grow musically.

Accompanist

Karen Kennedy

A professional organist, pianist, and accompanist. Karen received advanced musical training at Brigham Young University on both piano and organ, and was named BYU Organ Student of the Year. She is active in accompanying and collaborative work in the St. George area, and also shares her talents as the choir's graphic artist.
